I have been looking at those Crystal rock deoderants but I don't know if they are any good to use. They are supposed to be better for your health I heard but do they work? And any particular brand better?

Hi, i use Lush Solid deodourant. The best so far is Aromant. It's roughly £4 for 150g but you need a bit less than a pea sized amount per armpit. In my opinion, they are better smelling for longer and are natural products, no nasty chemicals.0

I bought one from lush once but it smelt very talcy and was unwearable because the smell from the deoderant was so strong.
Do you find it keeps you dry?0 -
I love Aromant! And I tried the crystal ones too - not so much talcy as lemony. I think they take some getting used to - but (like a mooncup) this is worth sticking at until you get the hang of it.0

I bought one (or rather 2 as it was bogof) and tried them in summer last year. I found I was smelly by the end of the day and went back to a normal one.
However I haven't tried since, perhaps they would work fine so long as its not midsummer.Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
Ahh i think the one you used was a krystal, which is powdery and oval with a wax base? I used fuwari and found it did nothing, i ended up using it as a room odouriser. I also gave up on alternatives until i tried aromant. I think it's a shea butter base, so it's easier to spread. You have to warm it between your hands so it melts a bit then spread it on. I found it kept me dry, i am quite a sweaty person too
If you go into a lush branch and ask for a sample, they'll give you a tiny pot with a small amount to try in. If you don't like it then it's no loss :O) x 0 -
I find the rock deodorants work better than anything I've tried, but you have to use them for a couple weeks before they start working really well.
They are a deodorant though, not an antiperspirant, so they won't keep you dry.
:AI want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.0 -
It was an oval one I had though I don't remember the name but it was really overpowering as a smell and not particularly pleasant. Does the Aromant keep you dry?0

It keeps me dry, i wouldn't use anything else now0

I have recently started using rock crystal deodorants and it works just fine, at first I just tried a small one and only when I wasn't going far so if it didn't work I could come home to shower.
I got mine from a local health shop and it's literally a rock crystal that you wet under the tap and rub on as required.0 -
pitrock is available in boots, no smells here - unless they're not telling me.
only thing is its has to be when you or it are wet, can be cold in the morning after run under the tap!! :eek:Ready to Go Go!0
