Morning all
@jadewest94 hope your hand is feeling better now and glad sainsburys is going well!
@EssexHebridean you do have some very busy days dont you! Always makes my lists seem a bit simple in comparison lol!
@Moneybear well done on saving money through library books and the more people who use the libraries the less chamce of them being closed down.
@determined_new_ms sorry about the interesting lunches, is there anyway your home insurance could cover the loss as it was an accident?
Yesterday was our family day out, was good a few hiccups at the place but dd had a nice day and thats all that matters. Spent more than I planned but it was cold and wet, we needed warm food and drinks inside us!
Todays plans are quiet a few and i have no energy already:
Clean the house as nothing got done yesterday.
Walk the dog (if its not really wet as will have no water proof coats today)
Wash all coats from yesterday and clothes. Try and dry outside if not finish on airer and maybe a few bits on the dryer.
Dd wanted to go and have a carvery breakfast, i did promise her we shall see if she wants to make a move and get out the house in the next 20 mins. Could do without the spends but its not a lot and its something she wanted to do since the 6 weeks holiday.
Change the beds.
Clear our the pantry, i didnt get chance the other day.
Get new modem that was delivered yest to next door neighbours and set it all up.....not looking forward to that one!
Decide what to have for tea.
Need to pop and get a present for dds friends party on Sunday.
My lists are more busy than money oriented as when i have a list if what i am doing, even if it is about spending it keeps me focused and not scrolling online finding things ti waste my money on.
Have a great day 😀6 -

Thanks @[Deleted User] for the tiktok prolific info. That might explain why it is so quiet as I am in that category. I've checked out my total earned and it is £521 over the last 2 years. I thought I was imagining the difference in my pockets but looks like there definitely is a change.
Today I have a trip to the doctors so going to take it easy. Enjoy some more of my library book. Clean the kitchen after work tonight.
I am also chasing a company that has a duplicate hold of £30 on my card.

Afternoon all
Out all day yesterday, met up with an old friend who lives some distance away, for lunch in a pub half way between, if that makes sense. While it was nice to see her, the pub lunch was not very enjoyable with the covid precautions in place, necessary though they are. It wasn't pleasant to be sitting in a room full of random people for a couple of hours, and I really would prefer not bother tbh. And it wasn't exactly cheap either
Anyway, today I have / will:Walked dogSorted out some online stuff for my brother, who seems to be getting himself into scrapes again - he has lost his job, and briefly hooked up with an online scammer posing as an unfeasibly young woman in another country apparently desperate to marry a pensioner who lives in a council flat. Disappeared when he didn't have $6k to send her
The online stuff I sorted out was obtaining a copy of his birth certificate I hasten to add, which naturally he has lost, and is needed by all accounts to prove his entitlement to work in the UK, for a p/t job he has applied for. That took almost all morning, not very straightforward at all, particularly as he had left his phone at home and his gmail account wouldn't let him log on to a 'strange' device (my laptop). Nothing is ever easy with him!Gosh I do sound grumpy today - must be the rotten weather
Had HM soup for lunch, and dinner will be cold chicken from the fridge. No heating on, but will light the stove later.Might sort through my cookery books and freecycle some of the ones I never use - most were from charity shops, so no big outlay. Happy to pass them on.@jadewest94 hope your cut heals quickly@determined_new_ms my OH managed to turn off our freezer a couple of years ago, and I was up all that night cooking to avoid wasting too much. A real pain!

Morning all,
Its a bit glum here today. Currently lying in bed before I get up and make a start!
Yesterday was successful did almost all my list, except the pantry and walking the dog (oh walked the dog instead) i also had a big big of clothes my mom had given me and i forgot about, omg there was some lovely clothes in there, a couple of beautiful dresses for work, a lot of jeans (think she felt bad for me when i said I only had 2 pairs that werent work clothes ut tbh i work 5 days a week i don't actually need much more) anyway ive got given some truely beautiful clothes and it cost me nothing, bonus!
Feeling very tired despite a good nights sleep!
Plans for today:
Dd has a club, still deciding if i should go or oh take her, if i go i will take drinks with me.
Afternoon out at a local attraction with tickets prebooked with the national lottery £25 ticket offer so cost us £6 instead of £66, already paid for. Will need to pay for parking but il leave that for oh.
Got 2 loads of washing to do, due to the day it may need to be dried in the dryer, may only do 1 load today and hope for better weather tomorrow.
General cleaning today, tbh the house isnt that bad having this week off has meant i have caught up on it.
Need to buy sawdust for rabbits and clean them out.
Take some drinks and snacks with us for afternoon out, will only be there max 1.5 hours so don't need much really.
Film evening tonight with oh and dd, will find something on @mazon or netfl!x to watch later.
Order dd some new shoes for her club, they are compulsory from now on so cant not get them!
Thats all for now, have a lovely Saturday all.3 -
Exhausted! GD aged 7 was dropped off by her Dad at about 9 this morning, with a large pumpkin that needed to be carved, and a pie made from its innards for DD's halloween party tomorrow. Now GD is one of those children who flits from one activity to another, so we have:Walked the dogHad some meat delivered which needed sorting out and repacking. Now in the fridge until I can face the advanced tetris needed to fit it in the freezer!Hollowed out the pumpkin and made a face (OH helped her with this, thank goodness)Cleared up some of the pumpkin (there is still a liberal amount smeared around the dining room
)Made a pumpkin pieGD made some jam tarts and 'biscuits' from the pastry scrapsGot the play dough out, to add to the pumpkin layer in the dining roomCooked pasta for lunch, followed by ice cream and pears from the fruit bowlFound some big stones in the garden, washed them in the sink, dried them on the clean tea towel, then painted them. The paint smears really complement the play dough and pumpkin debris.Cleared up paint brushes and play dough cuttersPlayed a card game focused on different types of poo
(GD had this for Christmas last year apparently)Played a cbbc game on my phone for a while (the silence was bliss!)Lots of washing up of various kindsTook GD home and had a cuppa and cake with DDCooked dinnerCollapsed in a heap!

😂😂 What a day Dawn - your poor dining room! 🤣 Sounds like lots of fun though even if tiring.CC55 Hope you had a good day out!Not much done here today as we were up in Norwich overnight after being at the beer festival yesterday.- breakfast in Wethersp00ns this morning
- power banks, phones and iPad charged up at hotel
- I washed my hair at the hotel this morning to save doing it back at home too! 😆
- shopping on the way home, £29 spent
- new bread maker has arrived from Land Of Lakes, unsurprisingly Herme5 just dumped it on the doorstep so glad it was still there when we got home several hours later! Now running with a rapid white loaf so we can start getting a feel for it
- there will be a load of washing put through tonight on the cheap electricity
That’s about it I think. This will be our last spendy weekend for a few weeks thankfully - time to regroup a bit I think now!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
