  • Hi guys - just popping my head in to say hi, too exhausted to consider very much! Life seems hectic and exhausting atm. Hard to fathom it's Thursday - got paid on Monday and haven't had a chance to check my bank account/do my budget or pay any bills yet. Must make time for this tomorrow.

Just got in from being in the uni library all day (it made sense as madam was at gymnastics at the town uni is in (we live in a village just outside) so decided to study there rather than wasting an hour's tracel back and forth. Was a good decision too as traffic was very heavy today.

friend coming round this evening for something to eat and a sauna. About to tidy up/clean for a bit as house is a bomb and then make cheeseburger pasta and a salad.

need to do a load of washing & hang on airer

This morning discovered GD2 turned off our second freezer when they were here. Everything defrosted, so had to do a load of cooking first thing to reduce as much waste as possible. Made for some interesting lunches! SAdly there is a fair bit of waste

Ok I better make a start or I won't find the energy!

I finished my library book and have 2 more to read. I am hoping to start my next one with a cup of tea in a bit.
I had a cheque for £10 arrive today so I have cashed it through my bank mobile app.
I was > < this close to going out for lunch but managed to talk myself out of it and had a tin of spaghetti hoops instead.
My dress return was received today so hopefully in a few days time they will confirm the refund!
But no luck on Prolific... I will keep it open anyway just in case.
  • Prolific has gone quiet because according to their blog, someone (not connected with them) made a TikTok video about it, which went viral and they had a massive surge of users signing up, making spaces fill very quickly indeed. These new users were mainly 20-something females and they are working on a solution because it's skewing results and they received complaints from clients about the quality of data. Apparently, things should gradually improve. So hang in there.

That figures - I’m a long way from the 20-something age group so it makes sense that my demographic is still doing OK from it I guess. Thanks for the info!

Dress returns, savings on lunch and travel, all good, but defrosted freezers very much not so! I have a feeling you can get a device that fits over a plug to make it less easy for little fingers to pull out/switch off - could be worth a look Determined

No work for me today but odd jobs to do around the house.
    - ran DW & WM overnight on cheap rate
    - bathed last night rather than shower this morning
    - Washing from airer outside > indoors to finish drying
    - washing from machine > airer outdoors
    - 15 minute tidy - bedroom
    - go to the gym

porridge for breakfast - we have a spare apple so I might cook that off in some maple syrup to top mine.
