What Small Things Will You Do This Week? 25/10/2021

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation.  These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

I ordered one of those too good to go bags last night from greggs. I picked it up today, it was pretty decent!

    Evening all :)
Thanks for starting the thread @Bagpuss741 :)
    Today I have:
    Walked dog, free exercise
Checked banks - moved my ISA savings to a better paying account with the same provider
Load of washing, mostly dry on the line. Just needs to go on airer overnight to finish off
    Changed bedding and hoovered bedroom
    Leftovers for lunch
Icyland shoppin this week, was delivered and put away
No heating, but the stove is on now. I have just used hot water from the kettles that sit on top of it to do the washing up
Labelled a box of items to take to my sales unit tomorrow
    RM surveys stuff
Dinner was courgette lasagne that I made yesterday. Just needed warming up in the microwave and some fresh veg cooked to go with it.
Must get the dry washing on the airer once I have finished my coffee.

  • Yesterday was indeed a NSD. Thinking about it today should be as well - hurrah for that!

    Today I will:
    - Keep an eye on OnePoll - it's gone annoyingly quiet
    - Prolific - lunchtime/this evening - only need a couple more £'s to get to a combined paid/pending total of over £20
    - Tea tonight is planned and from cupboard/freezer/veg box.
    - Gym after work as I don't have to wait for MrEH to car-share today.
    - banking already checked
    - Load of washing through tonight - sports kit.
    - Ran the dehumidifier overnight on the cheap rate electric - will repeat that several nights a week now.
    - Bath before bed to save time/electric on showering tomorrow morning.

I'm sure there will be more than that!
