Barclays - Wages didn't go in on Saturday

Thank you, Yes this is what I was hoping I just looked back at my last pay and it went in at 4am so hopefully you are right.

As you work in a school, it'll likely be a council making the payroll payment. In which case it'll be paid by bacs. If the payment is due Monday, it'll be in your account from 00:01 Monday

I work for the MAT so the payment comes from them hopefully the previous poster was right and they don't pay via Bacs. No doubt I'll find out in a few hours though!

Your previous employer was paying you on the Saturday. It's nothing to do with Barclays.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me.

Every employer that I have ever had or any benefits etc that are due on the Monday the money is always in on the Saturday just like this Saturday when I received CB and UC. So it is down to Barclays and that is why I am questioning about my wages.

Your bank hasn't changed, your employer has.  Ergo, the most likely cause for you seeing something different is that your new employer operates it's payroll differently.

Do you know for certain they do their own? I work for an LA, and we have payroll & bacs service level agreements with several MAT'S

Good news everyone I got paid at 4:17 am!
I got paid from the MAT with a reference MAT name BGC but the payment was not a BGC it was a 3rd Party Payment.

A '3rd Party Payment' isn't a type of payment. 

Barclays incorrectly classify incoming automated credits as BGC.
It never was a BGC (Bank Giro Credit using a physical credit slip) it would have been BACS.
