Barclays - Wages didn't go in on Saturday

Hi there,
I have been with Barclays all of my working life and as far as I remember whenever I got paid on a Monday, My wages cleared on the Saturday before.
I have recently started working for a new company and this is my 2nd pay with them. I am due to be paid tomorrow so I was expecting my wages to show yesterday but they didn't? I did however get my Child Benefit and UC yesterday.
Has anyone came across this before? Could it be down to the company using a different bank? And my wages will be there tomorrow?
I know that I will find out in the morning but I work in a School and if my money hasn't gone in there will be no one to contact as it's half term so I am feeling a bit anxious now.
Many thanks
Donna

If your employer is due to pay you tomorrow, the funds will go into your account tomorrow.
Your previous employer was paying you on the Saturday. It's nothing to do with Barclays.1 -
Monzo Bank has a similar facility, if your wages are dues in by BAC`S on the Monday, they will allow you to collect them early @ 4pm the working day before, so on the Friday.
Not all Banks offer this service, and it does depend on how your wages are transferred.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Every employer that I have ever had or any benefits etc that are due on the Monday the money is always in on the Saturday just like this Saturday when I received CB and UC. So it is down to Barclays and that is why I am questioning about my wages.1 -

The OP's employer might have changed to paying wages by Faster Payments instead of BACS. If so, these will be received as soon as they are sent.0 -
Perhaps Barclays are undertaking weekend maintenance. The BACS run hasn't been uploaded yet.0

If your Child benefit and Universal credit has been paid yesterday then it’s unlikely that the reason your wages not going in is due to an issue with Barclays, the issue is more likely to be with your employer or their banking arrangement.I suspect that your employer doesn’t use BACs to pay you, they may set up future dated faster payments, which means the money will leave their account and go into your account tomorrow. It’s only BACs payments that show early on a Saturday if it’s due in your account on Monday with Barclays.2
