It might be worth noting that if you're going abroad this winter, that Virgin SIM might be a steal (if it arrives in time). Texts from overseas are more expensive than picture messages and you can fit far more writing in a picture message than a normal text. Obviously, there is no need to include a picture if you don't want to. So basically by using that SIM (if the country you're going to supports MMS and you've checked the SIM is OK to roam) you can send 16 picture messages for free. Cheaper than a postcard!
Also, on a similar theme, I'm MMS messages on the T-Mobile network (which Virgin uses) come out of your Flext allowance whilst SMS messages do not when you're abroad.0 -
Just to correct the original post, the T-Mobile one should read: "Sign up for your free t-mobile sim and get free weekend texts when you top up by £10 on a Friday" (not £15)0
