Interestingly, the UK seems to have stabilised/dropped slightly.
Just shows what can happen in the two weeks since you made this post! Covid isn't going away and it's not just unique to the UK either.1 -
...and no other flight bans in those two weeks that I am aware of either.0

still got Albania and Turkey booked before Christmas.
Check Albania out - no PLF to fill out prior to entry, just vaccination certificate required.
Makes a pleasant change.0 -

Anyway, we are still world beating when it comes to failing at COVID.0 -

The UK has remained reasonably stable (within 25%/2 weeks up/down) since 28 July on the basis of date reported. Our current case levels in 2 weeks remain at around 720, which is a dip from 891 on 23 October.
Covid isn't going to go away, but I see further travel restrictions for the vaccinated as reasonably unlikely at this stage, possibly with some testing, unless a variant occurs. This has been a general trend since vaccines internationally have become more commonplace.
Many governments seem to be in agreement now with this view, but some are not. We've been in the 500-900 range per 100k since July 9 and haven't been above 900 since 21 January, before we had vaccines in large numbers and when the UK and Delta variants were relatively new. If the case rate rises significantly options may become more limited but there's no indication if we're sensible that this will be the case at this stage.💙💛 💔2 -

I'm not suggesting that we haven't made a mess of it (take into account that we test far more than virtually every other country in the world) but the assertion that that it had practically disappeared from other countries at that time, was just completely wrong and rather misleading.1 -

And that's from BBC News so you know it must have felt difficult for that reporter to write that.
Positivity rates are generally higher across the continent, even though positive results are fewer, because they're testing far fewer.
