Coupon-mad said:You defend same as all the other VCS Airport no stopping cases. Plenty of scope to defend these.
I'd search and read at least a dozen threads like yours (any Airport).1 -
If this is a stopping issue then tell LJLA the red lines don't comply with statutory regs. A forum user has photos taken on Sunday to show they are illegal. Under that very dodgy contract VCS are liable for their upkeep. If they haven't maintained them then they have breached the contract. Ask VCS and LJLA (Email customerservices@liverpoolairport.com) and ask both to provide all documents which show they sought and received permission for the red lines from the Chief Const. of Merseyside Police and the relevant Secretary of State.
Imagine VCS not maintaining red lines and then trying to issue no stopping notices. This is deception under Sec 2 chapter 35 of the Fraud Act 2006. Report to actionfraud.police immediately. Tell LJLA your MP is ready to intervene...get in touch with your MP and ask them to be ready to write to LJLA if they don't engage.1 -
Hi, I have a VCS no stopping ongoing case with LJLA. The original 'offence' was in 2017 and we followed advice here and it all went quiet. we assumed it had been discontinued until in mid last year we got the threatening bailiff letters. we have followed the advice here and now have a letter from our local court asking us to take mediation? the car is registered in my wife's' name but she wasn't driving, we cannot in all honesty establish who was driving, possibly me or my now deceased father, my son travelled regularly and whoever was available would drop him at the airport.
do i accept the offer of mediation or hold out for a hearing? if so what should my steps now be? we did send a SAR and letter to VCS (at the time I wasn't aware we could use email) via signed for recorded delivery using a template off here adapted to our particular case. I also asked for the location of the camera as the times I have been there i have noticed a vehicle parked on a roundabout blocking access to a crash gate, access to these cannot be blocked or restricted at any time. In my trips to this AIRPORT I have not noticed red lines or seen any signs relating to no stopping while approaching the car park or drop off areas. My son has said that the lines are invisible unless you walk on the road. Given also that the alleged breach took place at around 5.30/6am in September when the light was far from ideal i expect they were invisible!
The amount of stress and harassment this company has caused my wife and I is disgraceful so my gut instinct is to take them the whole way and fight to the end but the fear of a CCJ is real which I guess is what they prey upon and how they manage to extort money from people.
Any help at all would be really appreciated as while we are far from stupid we have no idea what to do re a court case.0 -
Please read the NEWBIES FAQ (if you haven't already).
Please start your own new thread if you still need help. (One person/one case/one thread else it becomes a nightmare trying to help people).

2. It is admitted that the Defendant was the driver of the vehicle in question but liability is denied. At the time in question the defendant was attending Liverpool John Lennon Airport to provide transport to his four year old daughter, Wife and disabled mother-in-law, all customers at LJLA.
3. The claimant’s signs were visible upon entering this private land, however, the particulars of the signs were, and are still, in no way legible to the defendant whilst driving at 40 miles per hour. The fact that these signs are being relied
The speed limit is 30mph when you get down to the airport, 40 on all the roads leading down there but that last section drops down to 30 just after the premier inn on the left hand side. Not sure if that matters in your ws but better to be safe, i know as i was up there taking photos and videos for my own pcn battle.0
