Emirates Skywards miles due to expire - is there anything I can do with them?

Hi...

I've got around 12,000 Emirates Skywards miles which expire at the end of this month.  It's not enough to get a flight anywhere and unlike some of the other airlines there doesn't seem to be anything tangible I can do with them.

Does anyone know of any other ways to spend them or extend them?  Or even gift them to charity or something... just seems a shame to waste and they are supposedly worth 1 cent each so it's probably about £100 there.

There are various things you can do with them, I think. I have used them for an EasyJet flight in the past.

I converted a small amount into the Rewards scheme at Heathrow airport and received I think £40 worth of vouchers to spend in shops/restaurants.

Then covid hit and I didn't get to use those as our flights were cancelled.  The vouchers have since expired  

Emirates may also have a scheme to donate unspent miles to a charity.

You can pay to extend them for 12 months for something like £20/1,000 points but you probably need a longer view on if they are of any use for you.
