What annoys me is that I used to use the Bcard for BTs but that got stopped mostly by them dropping my credit limit from about £18k to less than £2k.  And there's never any offers either.  I'm not sure what I've done to offend them.  (I'm obviously not ticking some box somewhere).  Maybe it's because I never applied for the card and they just want rid of me.

I've received the email twice as I've got two Barclaycards (Hilton Honors Platinum and Forward).

Both have always been paid off in full by direct debit each month.  The Forward just gets used for a £5 monthly top-up on my Amazon account to stop it from going dormant.

The big heading of "We're increasing your minimum payment ... to help you clear your balance sooner" annoyed me when I first read the email.
    Debt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.

    I did wonder when I read it as I didn't have a balance :)

No email for me and, I am quite ashamed to say, I have no idea what my minimum % payment is. It's just never come into the equation.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

I think if you keep a balance they will do it, they keep upping mine from about £5k to £10k this month

I had to look it up, mine appears to be 3% but I'm paying about 5% on a fixed payment

Why would you want to keep a Forward product if you have a mainstream Barclaycard?
It's not like it has a low APR, cashback or even forex free access.

I've had the same card since 1995 and always paid the balance. I always thought minimum payments were 5%, have they dropped over the years and now are heading back?

My Santander card is (or certainly was earlier this year) 1% min payment. I have always been confused/never been able to find the fine print about how much they take for min payment. I only looked into it when I transferred debt from Santander to Bcard and the payment more than doubled.

I think I've just held on to it as it's my oldest card, taken out about a year after the end of my DMP.  I might see if Barclaycard will transfer the credit limit to the other card and close it - I've recently done this with two Santander cards

On most of my cards  any balance is cleared each month. However if I am enjoying a promotional rate then I leave the debt until that rate expires.

Also no email from Barclaycard as yet regarding what my repayment rate will be.  Whatever it is will not cause me any problems.

I remember in the early 1970's my Access CC  had a min repayment of 5%. Perhaps we may be returning to those times.
