Top fix roller blind - Any way to side fix?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be able to help please. We purchased some specially made night and day blinds but thought the fixing would be side fix in the recess. When they arrived they were top fix (Yes we should have checked all the details!) We had previously bought a blind from the same company that was side fix so we (wrongly) assumed these would be the same, unfortunately we bought three. We really don't want to top fix because heard some horror stories if hitting steel above the windows.
So was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and got around it to side fix?
Only thing I can think of is bolting to a piece of wood at the top of the blind and then using some kind of bracket to size fix the wood to the side walls of the recess. Not ideal but maybe a way around it. Will make the blind heavier and maybe use some Command Strips on top of the wood to help with the weight at the top of the recess. Should I be using any wood in particular? Any idea on what brackets would be best?
Sorry we are not really DIY people.
Unless anyone has any better ideas?
Thank you.

I would need to photograph later when home. Hidden away under bed wondering what to do with them.[Deleted User] said:Hi,can you stick up a photie or link to type of blind, please.
Does this helps? https://www.blinds-2go.co.uk/content/instructions/b2g-enjoy.pdf
Thank you.1 -
The fitting instructions show a "face fixing" - An L shaped bracket - Just fix the bracket as shown in the last image on P2, job done.

If you want to fit a piece of wood to the top of the window you could always use one of those grab adhesives advertised on the tv.1

Maybe an option but maybe a little too narrow now because that will mean not in the recess. Also concerned with the brackets all along the top of the window we may still hit steel if we try and do that. Not sure where the steel will be and how thick it would be.FreeBear said:The fitting instructions show a "face fixing" - An L shaped bracket - Just fix the bracket as shown in the last image on P2, job done.
Unfortunately the blinds do not have those side pieces on this type of blind which is what the first blind we purchased had, but it was a different type of blind from these.

Just concerned the grab adhesives won't hold all the weight, but can do this with brackets I guess. Widest blind is 240 cms. Thanks.Ganga said:If you want to fit a piece of wood to the top of the window you could always use one of those grab adhesives advertised on the tv.0 -
Hi,would any of these options work?

Thank you. Number 2 is how we fitted the last blind and just use the two screws holes at the sides not the ones at the top . These ones don't come with those end plates. Will take a photograph later and send to see if that helps. Thank you.[Deleted User] said:Hi,would any of these options work?

Not at the moment was just looking for ideas. Here are the photographs of the ends and the top fix clips with the blind. Thank you.[Deleted User] said:
