Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone could please please help me, I’m going through my divorce and my ex has supplied bank statements that I’m not sure about he Banks with Lloyds and he has avoided sending few months worth of statements for a long time and then eventually when forced by courts he supplied them
now here’s where I’m confused he has some transactions on there that are missing part of their ref numbers and these are the same transactions I’m disputing ever took place

All these transactions if all the ref were inc would then go into the second line but chopped first 6/8 numbers off so the last digits match and all transaction stick to one line on the statement
but the original bank statement do include the full reference numbers and they go onto the second line where needed
could some who also banks with Lloyds confirm if they do chop off these numbers when you request a pdf/online statement
i bank with nationwide and have been paperless for a longtime and mine doesn’t change any of the ref numbers so don’t know whether my mind is looking for issues where there aren’t any or this is something I should query further
thank you so much for reading this far even if your and able to help

When I download PDF statements from Lloyds it doesn't show the reference's for payments, just the persons names1

There are 2 types of "statement", one a selectable transaction list and the other a full statement. If you download a monthly transaction record it purely shows the name and transaction type. The full period statement contains a reference under the name for incoming payments, outgoing faster payments just have name, time and date, outgoing transfers have name and sort code / account number.

Just be aware pdfs can be edited1

cx6 said:Just be aware pdfs can be editedThat’s what’s going through my mind but I don’t want to come across as crazy for thinking by that
because if they were available and it’s supported his side why take so long to provide them in the first place and why are these not the original paper statements like all his other statements something just doesn’t add up and it’s just a gut feeling0 -
If you're concerned about integrity of evidence, have you raised the matter with your solicitor?2

If he downloads the Actual PDF Statements from Lloyds it would be exactly like the one you would get in the post and can't be easily edited, with all info on it including the ref numbers etc if it's the monthly statements they look Different to ones you get in the post and have less info and can be easily edited (I think) or you can just order statements from online Banking0

Hi guysSo he has provided three diff forms of these bank statements one is printer friendly printed from the branch in person, this version has very limited information
the second one is usual paper form that comes to the house and has the perforated binder holes clearly visible and this version has all the transaction reference numbers in full
its the 3rd version (looks like a monthly bank statement) he has provided that has me concerned this has only partial reference numbers for some of the transactions some transaction have all the same ref numbers and others have chunks missing and it’s the ones I’m disputing took place that are missing chunks like he’s added these transactions in but didn’t want to risk going into a second line as it would more obvious as formatting may not be the same anymore I’m not sure what I’m trying to say but it doesn’t look like my normal bank statements but I don’t bank with Lloyds so can’t be certain maybe this how they normally work
I have a meeting with my solicitor on Friday and I’ve already emailed her my concerns so
will discuss further with her
thank you for replying0 -
Is the 2nd one like this Picture (It a template no real data) (Delete if pic not allowed)
That's what the statement looks like that I get each month through post and online PDF version Via inbox it has all the info on it including reference numbers and will be 100% accepted can't be edited
The other Statement which looks like this
Which has less info on it than the normal monthly Statement and don't normally show the Reference Number,
My best bet would be for him to Order the monthly Statements online (Like the first picture) then give you them too you so your solicitor can look through it, very easy to do and takes less than a few mins to order them, why can't he just do that,
Hope this helps0 -
My solicitor agrees doesn’t understand why some of the digits are missing the bank would either remove them all for a printer friendly version or they would be present in full for the full version she’s going to have a look into for me further
thank you for all the advice0 -
