Trying to get full clarifications in one post , seeing as half the questions on page 1 were ignored and due to multiple postings we are now on page 2 !

It will help people like me assist where necessary without going back one or more pages , plus coupon mad who never goes back on pages or obtain information over multiple posts ! I have just read every post over 2 pages and am still no wiser , plus nobody has answered the questions by the person due to a complete lack of clarity !

Better and consistent details will mean better replies , instead of being drip fed information piecemeal , it's one of my pet hates , that people ask questions but don't fully answer questions !  Lol. 🤣🤣🤣

Honestly I am lost or have no clue what I am doing, I thought after receiving county court claim form the next stage was to acknowledge the claim online then prepare defence. This SAR, DPO, PPC, I have no idea what it is.

Absolutely right. That is exactly what you need to do.

There is however, more, and it is described in the second post of the NEWBIES thread. I gave you a link to that post.
The suggestion is that you send a Subject Access Request to the Data Protection Officer of the Private Parking Company.

Unfortunately some posters here are in so much of a hurry to get their post out that they miss the point that their post is useless if the intended recipient cannot understand it.

The fifth post of the NEWBIES thread lists some/most commonly used abbreviations.

Acronyms are explained in the fifth post of the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , so iit's clear that you haven't read it yet , please do so and answer the rest of the questions that coupon mad asked

Yes you received a claim form , but we have no idea who from !

We have no idea whose name is on the signage either !

Question time is a 2 way street , so all I am asking is that you answer the questions we ask before we can assist with your Defence draft , which you haven't posted yet. I will assume that the AOS was logged by the CCBC on MCOL in good time , but your claim history will confirm

You claim that you have no clue , but you haven't given us any clues either !

Sorry Guys it is a struggle all around even to go around and use the forum app is still a learning curve, I was typing my question using my phone and I accidentally pressed something and half of my question was posted, I tried to retrieve and edit but I couldn’t, that is why I added the second post to complete the question. So really sorry for being pain.

Thanks to everyone who helped with my defence with regards to the county court claim against me. I today received a letter from the claimant's legal representative saying '' we enclose by way of service to our client's notice of discontinuance, a copy of which has been filed at court'' we confirm that having discontinued the legal claim, we have been instructed not to pursue the debt and our file shall be closed immediately. they attached a copy of discontinuance, the notice has a wording on it that says ''where another party must consent to the proceedings being discontinued , a copy of their consent must be attached to, and served with, this form. also is ticked on discontinue all of this claim.please what do I need to do now, do I wait for the court to confirm this discontinuance? is this not just their trick to make me not send my witness statement to court? the hearing is 4 months away. thanks for your continued help, really appreciate

Yes, wait for a court confirmation, shouldn't take long. I wouldn't read anything as being underhand in any ability they have in the completion of forms.

You still haven't told us which parking firm was chasing you, and which solicitors sent you the discontinuation letter. Without those, the thread has no context and without the details of the the above, has no relevance to other motorists who might get tangled up with them.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • I will explain in detail once I know it is a done deal and confirmed by the court. I came to this platform completely with no clue of what to do so I understand my experience will help other drivers as well.
