Company listed item at the wrong price.

Please can any one suggest if I have any legal rights…
I purchased a product online from Denmark. The item was in stock (I have screen shots of it because I sent it to my husband to show him to see if he liked it.) I paid for the item through PayPal, the money has been debited from my account and I received an email confirmation.

I have now since realised that the item I purchased had been listed with the incorrect price.
The company have now refunded my money and gave the explanation of a website glitch and offered 10% discount as a gesture of good will.
Does the company have to honour the price I paid?
Thank you.

Any rights you'll have are going to be Danish ones, so this probably isn't the best place to ask - and even if you do have rights, do you fancy trying to enforce them in Danish courts?0

I believe Danish consumer law would apply in this case, so irrespective of what the answer would be for a UK company, you might be better asking the question to a Danish consumer rights forum.0

The Danish seller will almost certainly have had the Danish equivalent of E&OE in their T&Cs.

In general, your rights will be determined on whether or not a contract has been formed.
This depends on the retailer's terms and conditions.
A contract can be formed when you have paid for the item and they have acknowledged the order.
However, their T&C can, for example, say they have the right to cancel up to the moment the item is shipped.
So yes, you might have a contract but they are able to cancel before shipment.
See what their T&C say.0 -

If a genuine error has been made they can't be forced to supply at the wrong price, at least if they were UK based they couldn't be. There have been many instances over the years where goods, flights etc have been listed with incorrect pricing and the 'offer' withdrawn even after payment has been made.

I paid €196 Euro. Around £166 GBP. And is being sold for €1275 else where.powerful_Rogue said:How much did you pay and what is the now revised price?I just originally thought it was a good sale price. As above, we don't know what Danish law is, but if it was in the UK, selling something for a seventh of its usual price is the sort of obvious error which wouldn't be enforceable.5

That's plainly an error pricing.MrsYa8 said:

In the UK you would have no rights to insist the retailer fulfils the sale to you at that price.
And, as someone else mentioned, the sale contract is not often formed until despatch, at which point your card is charged.4
