Bills

Hi, I used to pay for my line rental up front with my current internet provider as a Line Rental Saver. This is no longer available. I phoned them today to see if I could pay the line rental but up front in full (without the saver bit) just to get the direct debit part reduced. No I can’t do that either - don’t understand when they wouldn’t be losing any money and I could manage my monthly outgoings better.  I’m in my contract for another year 🙄

Their accounting system probably isn't setup for such an unusual request.

Plusnet by any chance? The Line Rental Saver was discontinued in February.

But yes the billing system won't be set up for this.  It'll be direct debit or nothing.  Yes you could pay LRS by card but that was the only thing.

And your contract would have been for your broadband, not your line or your line rental.
