Seller Adding On Costs After Agreed Price

this is what I would do:
ask them whether they intend to leave them or not.
if yes they need to be added to the forms clearly.
if no, say you're dropping your offer by £750.
Give them 2 days to make up their minds what they prefer.0 -
We first knew about it when their solicitor sent us the "law society fittings and contents" form and has listed them as excluded and put amounts next to the items now.MysteryMe said:We still don't know what the sales particulars said in relation to these goods.

So on the advert on Rightmove or in the paper copy the agent gives to viewers did it say something like 'referbished kitchen complete with white goods' or did it say 'kitchen with space for washing machine/dishwasher' etc. I think this is what people are saying. If it's the first then the seller has to sign off this before the agent can advertise. We didn't say we were leaving them in our advert, but viewers were advised we were leaving the under counter fridge and freezers and non built in cooker which we also included in the fixtures and fittings form. Washing machine and tumble dryer were not included.Tatters26 said:

Not sure it would work, but if it was advertised as coming with white goods then push back.
Personally I would tell them to take them. But I dislike integrated appliances anywayDebt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
Yes, the "argument" might then be between the vendor and the agent rather than between the vendor and you.ACG said:say your offer was on the basis of them being included in the sale as that is what you were told by the agent.(My username is not related to my real name)0 -

this is a try on - integrated goods are pretty useless as they won't easily be able to put them into the new house. I would continue with the "we understood they were included"0

LOL, that genuinely made me laugh out loud!Strummer22 said:I love crashy's one-person campaign. I suppose waiting 13 years for another crash gives you an opportunity to save up a big deposit... if you haven't spent it all on rent.0 -
Me too. But probably not for the same reason...Crashy_Time said:

Decline their offer. See what the response is.0

Many recent borrowers will certainly not be laughing if the present economic trajectory persists, which is why I said the seller got off lightly at a 5k price drop.Slithery said:
