The instructions on the notice seem a little nonsensical too .... "You must not ignore this notice or pass it to the driver"The pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.4

This is what happens when too much reliance is placedon technlogy. A quick scan by a human would have nipped this in the bud.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.4

Moral - avoid personalised number plates - probably a lot more likely to happen with number plates which look like a real word

Moral, avoid using ANPR cameras that are not fit for purpose. That's why the UK Government has banned their use in council and local authority car parks. They can be fooled by light and shadow, dirt, cracks, rusty screws, mistake I for 1 and 0 for O, (the latter being identical on a UK number plate).
In addition, an ANPR "read" must always be checked by a human Mk 1 eyeball and someone with a brain before any kind of charge is issued.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

The only use of ANPR when parking should be to read your plate on entry and calculate what is due on leaving. Once payment is made the barrier lifts.1

I disagree. ANPR only records time on site, not time parked. Driving round waiting for a space, or waiting to leave is not parking. It is unfair to charge someone when they are not parked, and unfair to issue an invoice for an overstay that includes non-parking time.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

I think I'm going to start selling T-shirts with number plates on them - imaging the fun you could have!

Even number plate-equipped shopping trolleys are in danger too! 😄
