I think the OP has one at claim stage and one at LBC stage.
Defend the one at Claim stage and delay the other (reply late each time) then later on, point out cause of action estoppel (but not yet).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's a case of getting your timing right. You want to stretch it as far as possible but you don't want them to issue the claim form before you ask for the 30-day hold, else, as @KeithP writes you will not be at pre-action stage. I would suggest, as you say, just before the time period they have indicated in their LBC/LOC is nearly over.drn2009 said:
Just a quick one on this @Coupon-madCoupon-mad said:Meanwhile, make it your mission to stall the others that are at LBC stage. Firstly tell the solicitors you are seeking debt advice and awaiting a SAR (don't mention the live claim, this is re the LBC stage ones). Ask them to put the case on hold for 30 days whilst you seek debt advice.
Do I ask for the case to be put on hold for 30 days now or wait till the original 30 day time frame is nearly over? Does the 30 days extension I request mean 30 days after the original 30 day period or is it 30 days from the time I request it?2 -
Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

A question regarding letter of claim & PAP, do I need to use the reply form to respond? Or will an email to them be ok? If I email them for an extension while seeking debt advice and don't use the reply form, does that mean they can still proceed with the court case? DCB Legal did not include a reply form with their letter but directed me to a URL with the reply form on it.0

Of course you don't use the reply form. The NEWBIES thread tells people not to.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These few words at the beginning of the second post on the NEWBIES thread should help you...drn2009 said:A question regarding letter of claim & PAP, do I need to use the reply form to respond? Hi, I got copies of the NTK they sent me originally. Do these follow POFA? They look like they do to me but I'm not experienced in what to look for, would appreciate your comments, thanks.

We don't know if a NTK is OK on dates if you cover both dates.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
