Thanks for your concern, but do most of my daily use on solar,.. I'm not sure I can get a cheaper tariff at the moment than 11.5 kwh[Deleted User] said:nologo said:
Nothing automatically switches so would only use it for immersion heater dishwasher on timers.
Hi,is that all you use it for, no heating? Is E7 the right tariff for you, you could be paying more for day rate than a standard tariff. What's your day/night usage?Deepest Kent. 4.6kW Growatt inverter, solar i boost+ 5.9kW Solar Edge

Octopus and other suppliers will let you go on a single rate tariff if you have econ7, if you request.
All they do is add the two figures together.
In the case of Avro both rates were the same anyway.
Don`t know about smart meters, haven`t got one, don`t want one.0 -

My E7 hours are and have always been 1am-8am no matter which supplier I`ve been with, including SP.The map Gerry posted is accurate, those are the guideline times for the energy distributors, not the suppliers so it doesn't matter which supplier you have had the guidelines are based on distribution regions. They are only guidelines though and depend on how your E7 switching is implemented. If it is a local time-switch for example then your clock can and will drift over time, but will remain constant between suppliers as it is your clock determining when it switches as long as you are not on a smart meter...

My E7 is 1am to 8am all year round and has been for the last 33 years.
It`s controlled by a radio signal and if you happen to look at the meter at 8am you can hear it click and also see the smal plastic switch click over.
Over that period of time we have had the meter changed twice.
The timing of the E7 period was originally set by whoever your local electricity board was before privatisation and remains the same.0
