Octopus economy 7 hours ?

I am in the fortunate position of being on a fixed tariff until after the winter (Super Green Octopus)  I downloaded the Bright app & it shows time of use hours for E7 as 00.00 -07:00    is this correct?   seems very generous .

It's called economy 7 for a reason. It does what it says on the tin.

E7 hours vary by region, not by supplier.

Thanks for your replies,  just when I had economy 7 with other providers there was normally a gap in the middle and I just wanted to ensure I make the most of my tariff.

Your switching times depend on how your meter is set up. Do you have a smart meter?

Yes I have a smart meter.

Nothing automatically switches so would only use it for immersion heater dishwasher on timers.
 
The switching map shows different times  from the Bright app

so still a little confused

octopus can remotely program the off peak times into your smart meter.  They offer a range of different timings in their tarrifs so seem to have this process well established

Hi,

is that all you use it for, no heating?

Is E7 the right tariff for you, you could be paying more for day rate than a standard tariff.

What's your day/night usage?
