Thank you for reading my post.
I have found a private registration plate that I have been chasing for years.
I have been told it needs to be applied for and put into an auction, then guy who is a broker can do this for me for a fee of £400 For his fees.
does anybody around on here whether I can apply for it myself so it can go into the auction? So to cut out the Middleman many thanks in advance.
Andrew.

If the broker is seeking the plate from another registration plate trader, you may be able to find it on their websites and not need the auction process.
If the broker is contacting the person who currently has the vehicle registered with the plate, then that is less straightforward.0 -
It would help if we new where you had found it?0

£400 broker fees ?
I'd avoid that.
What is the guide price for the plate ?0 -
Would love to know how a vanity plate enhances your life???? I take it you are not buying it as a investment???"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

We may be more assistance to the OP if we keep this thread focus to the topic in hand. At this point, it is unclear what value the "broker" is bringing to the process, or whether there is an alternative process that the OP can follow to secure the desired outcome.
Hopefully the OP will provide further clarification to allow this forum to provide assistance.4 -

I did say except investment. DVLA has cornered the market for new vanity platesJGB1955 said:
Actually .. it can enhance your life/pocket. We own a Morgan 4/4. It comes with a 'vanity' plate that indicates the year it was built and the 'make of car'. If you think about something like JAG 1966 on a 1966 Jaguar it would add a premium to the sale.dipsomaniac said:Would love to know how a vanity plate enhances your life????
