Avios Points via the BA shopping site

 I'm a little confused on what points can be earned via the BA shopping site.

For instance, if you order a meal on Just eat via the BA site, it says you get 1 point per pound.
Now, is that on top of the 1.5 points i get using my Amex card? so 2.5 points per pound. As i don't seem to be getting this.

Also, if not, whats the point of the site and using these retailers?

I used the site to buy some clothes from M & S. The retailer made sure that the points went straight to my Avios account, and it all worked very quickly.

I paid using my Amex card. At the end of the month I received points from Amex, just the same as if I had used the card anywhere else. So yes, I was rewarded twice.

Yes there are two ways to earn Avios for the online shopping you’re doing and you’re able to do both:

1. Spending using your Amex card
2. shopping via the BA website (similar to Quidco)
