£6.02 (inc VAT) for a 34 minute call on my Virgin landline.
Virgin is the reason I started this thread.
We went there for a broadband deal and I was surprised about the extra cost.
17p/min!! To a landline.
When I use a predialer I pay 0.5p/min to e.g. call germany.
Depending how much you use your landline, it could be worth getting "Talk More Anytime" from VM. I believe it's an extra £8 per month and all calls to UK landlines and mobiles are free for up to an hour per call. I use my phone a lot and have a 55 minute timer I set at the start of each call I know could go on for a while. If/when the timer goes off, I just quickly explain that I've got to hang up and call them straight back, which I do (along with restarting the timer, just in case!), and the whole call is free.

Three do deals on comparison sites for fiver a month with unlimited calls and no need to hang up after an hour.
There are others near the £5 mark but I don't know what network they use (Talk Mobile, Lebara, iD, ASDA)0 -
