Now broadbands Super Fibre (top end speed) for new customers is 22 per month.
Existing customers were recently faced with a price hike up to around £35.
Bit of haggling and I've got a 'near to new customer price of £23 pounds for the next 12 months.

Thanks. I'm just coming round to renewing mine, the last few years I have switched so I haven't had to deal with the haggling bit lately. I'm a bit confused over the email they sent me, could I ask you if I seem to be reading it correctly? (I am trying to research this myself as well before phoning them but every bit of advice helps!)I have Brilliant Broadband and inclusive calls, currently £18pm, nearly at end of 12m contract. What they've said to me is (potted down a bit):"You're currently paying £18 per month and this will remain the same after your contract ends. But don't worry - you've got other options too. To help you decide whch one is right for you we've put together this handy summary.
Your current package is BB + anytime calls inc discounts totalling £15 pm.
What are my options?- Based on what you already have: £26pm, new 12month minimum term applies, this includes a discount of £7 a month.
- BB + payg calls: £18pm 12 months minimum.
- Keep what you have: BB + anytime calls; from 20/12/2021, you will pay: £18 per month. This includes discounts totalling £15 per month. Your first discount will expire 19/11/2022.
Keeps rolling unless cancelled: cancel anytime."

I think the difference is that the two new 12 month minimum term deals fix the price for that term. Does the rolling deal makes no mention of a price review (aka increase) at some point in the future? Maybe in your existing T&Cs?1

Thanks, good point - will check the T&Cs as you say. Might that explain the offer that I can 'keep what I have' for the same price? (At a quick glance, the Now plans options page states '£18 a month for 12 months £0 activation & £5 delivery fee. Prices may change during this period. e.g. prices subject to change in contract, which is what I recall from when I signed up).Saying 'this will remain the same when your contract ends', isn't the same (to me) as saying 'we will put you onto a rolling contract if you do nothing' - is that actually what they mean?

Its the in contract price increase that may be the killer .

They aren't going to increase the price just because the original contract has ended.
They aren't going to cut you off, so you're now on their rolling contract.
Keeps rolling unless cancelled: cancel anytime.
You seem to have a level of discount that is no longer available. I have a similar situation with my BT mobile. Any changes, even to a worse package, will mean you pay more.
It's time limited though... Your first discount will expire 19/11/2022.

I took it as no price increase for same service, which suits me. Last year they increasde the price but a phone call brought it down agian, I guessing it was easier to hang onto exisitng customers than give big discounts to new onesMy initial contract end 4th Novemeber so I'll soon find out if a price rise has crept in some howEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1 -
Thanks very much indeed phillw, & all replies, I will phone them for clarification anyway but it helps to be more informed & forearmed a bit. I wasn't expecting any offer along these lines so it threw me rather. Will report back & hopefully may be able to add something useful to Farway/anyone in similar position.1

Hi, well a bit belatedly I have got around to phoning, and yes it is what it sounds - no change to what I currently pay, and (they say) no price rises for 12 months. Hopefully this is what you've found Farway. So in the sense that it's not a contract & can be cancelled anytime, it's not a contract; but it is a 12 month offer & then presumably another renegotiation, so it is time limited, exactly as phillw said. That suits me fine.1
