Are we supposed to be surprised?2

Not defending Ryanair's conduct here, but the headline really ought to be "Ryanair pursues refunds from passengers who got Covid Chargeback refunds when they weren't entitled to them".13

I understand and agree with Eskbanker's point that the customers were not entitled to the refunds, but by accepting their money a second time, Ryanair have laid a trap for such customers, and as such are acting in bad faith. They deserve all the bad publicity that will arise from this. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.2

Not just accepting it, but then waiting until just before boarding to demand it.0 -

Would have looked worse if the airline had simply banned these customers.
It's not until the very last sentence of the article that MSE finally concedes:The airline's T&Cs state: "We may refuse to carry you or your baggage on any flights operated by an airline of the Ryanair Group, if... you owe us any money in respect of a previous flight owing to payment having been dishonoured, denied or recharged against us."
As above, I'm not defending Ryanair's tactics here, but equally the tone and style of this piece leaves a lot to be desired....8 -
