Hi all,
Does the household income = earned income for April 2020 - March 2021? Or does it mean forecasted income for April 2021 - March 2022? Or income earned over the last 12 months?
If adult children are living with you (not on the bill), should their incomes be included in the household income? And do I have to contact the energy company to pay back the money if e.g the child has OT payments etc, and then the total household income eventually exceeds the limit as at 5th April 2022?
I already spoke to the energy company today, many times, but I was somehow given several different answers.
I already applied for the Warm Home Discount scheme, so I am going to call my energy company again tomorrow to double check, just in case if I need to withdraw my application.
In the meanwhile, any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I am aware, you can’t withdraw an application. You may be contacted to send in proof of your entitlement but I don’t know anyone who has actually been asked for this. I would just leave it if I were you. It’ll either be accepted or rejected.1

Applying for WHD for the very 1st time, just felt so so confused... My (&the childrens') incomes vary from time to time. When I called the energy company today to check if I am eligible for this scheme, the advisor just told me he had kindly completed the application form for me, but somehow I am really sure if I meet the criteria, and what'd happen if there is any change in my circumstance (e.g an increase in income).... Do I then have to contact the energy company again to pay back to the money?
But I think you are right. If I cannot withdraw my application, I just have to wait and see what happens. Again thank you for the help!!0 -
All it says is gross household income so I presume if there are other people living in the household their income would be taken in to account as it would be seen that they should be contributing but it it isn’t clear.

If your eligible at the time of applying you don’t have to pay it back peoples circumstances change but you have to reach criteria not just income related in most cases1
