Nest Thermostat Query

Thanks, I am manually setting it to eco when i leave home and I don't use home/away or have auto schedule on so if heat is on, it runs the schedule I've set and if i set it to echo manually, the eco temp is currently set to 12.
I expected that when the temp is below 12, the heat would come on but as mentioned, it was 11.5 and didn't turn heat on so unsure how far below the eco temp it needs to go before it actually turns heating on, maybe down as low as the safety temp?

I have the Nest thermostat-E.  I'll have a read of that thread you linked to and yes might post on the google nest forum too, just thought someone here may of came across this before.
