Make your own. My parents used to do that when I was a child - marzipan stuffed dates, coconut ice, fudge, chocolate truffles, peppermint creams. It also makes brilliant presents if they are put into a presentation sweet box. I don't remember if we did have shop bought tins of chocolates. We probably did, but its the home made sweets I remember.I've continued the tradition, I make brandy or rum truffles, candied clementine slices dipped in dark chocolate and peppermint creams, both dipped and plain. Its plenty. And no-one misses the Quality Street/ Heroes/Roses et al. at all.Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
Fashion on the Ration - 27.5/66 ( 5 - shoes, 1.5 - bra, 11.5 - 2 pairs of shoes and another bra, 5- t-shirt, 1.5 yet another bra!) 3 coupons swimming costume.5 -

Quality Street et al don't taste very nice now, and are less varied and more standard shapes. (And they don't come in attractive smaller tins anymore either.)2
