Allocated car parking

I think there is one out of 24 flats where the flat number and space number are the same!1 -
I am sure about the parking space. I also know the person parking their car in my allocated space is looking for convenience as this is a much easier space to park than theirs. What I don't want to happen is that once I have a car, I don't want them to say we are parking here from so many months and nobody claimed. I don't want to loose my space as I am a new driver and its a much easier space for me to park.1

I'd just leave them a polite note asking them if they realised this was the parking space for flat X, and could they therefore not park in it.
If you're not getting a car for a while, you could offer to rent it to them for a short period of time at £Y a week?!?!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)3 -

If you're not getting a car for a while, you could offer to rent it to them for a short period of time at £Y a week?!?!The parking space is part of your property and someone else has decided they'll use it because you aren't. That's like taking over someone's spare room 'because they aren't using it' !!Nip this in the bud. I wouldn't have the cheek to take someone else's space but lots of people are self entitled and think they can do whatever they like.It doesn't matter that you don't currently have a car, it's your space! What if you wanted it for visitors etc?Leave a note, a polite one at first....1 -
In our apartments the numbered parking bay is different to the apartment number so we often see notes on cars.
We have a fb page for the block and people sometimes park in there. Does your block have this?
People have asked to swap spaces, rent out unused spaces or just move from a space regularly. It's not unusual.
Just pop a note on saying its your space, you have visitors and your own car, and could they use there own space. It's honestly not 'unneighbourly' and they will expect it (if they knew) or be greatful if they didn't.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....1 -
Just had a thought, I assume your car park isn't gated? Is it near to the train station or town centre? Our old flat had endless problems with tight gots parking there and walking to use the train station. Is it someone who lives in the block or someone who doesn't but has spotted 'free parking'.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Can you get hold of/borrow/ebay a knackered old moped and park it there to "mark your territory"? You could also get a cone or even one of those metal lockable poles at some point, but I'd favour having a chat first, or the moped0

Did the previous owner of your flat perhaps agree to them using the space and hey have just carried on?
Do you have a friend or relation living near enough who could perhaps use the space for a couple of days, hopefully the person may go back to using their own space.0
