I couldn't describe a chr as exciting.0

It's a fine car, if a little cramped and 'busy' on the dash.scrappy_returns said:I couldn't describe a chr as exciting.
We looked at one, but then decided on an Evoque for the same money (the Evoque is much nicer in all respects).
But neither the CHR or the Evoque can hold a candle to a Tesla M3 in terms of excitement.
Even the slowest/cheapest M3 is 5.3 seconds to 60mph, and if you find that dull then there's something seriously wrong with you.0 -
So after alot of back and forth, I have decided against the C-HR and now looking at VW GTE & Audi A3 e-tron's. Cant decide between them now
.
Thanks to all for your comments, feedback and suggestions.
If anyone has any experiance of the above 2 models, I am open ears to help me make the decision.0 -
No way I would swap a Toyota with a potential ten year warranty I would probably never need, with a VW/Audi with a three year warranty you may need to use continually and dealers who don't care.
Been there, done that, learnt the lesson.0 -
I know the car very well, hence my comments.BOWFER said:

If you plan to use the electric part regularly, you're going to be plugging in a lot to keep the 30 mile range topped up.
If you're not using the electric part a lot, why bother at all?
Have you seen the deals going around on the fully electric ID3 just now, and just bite the bullet and go full electric?
With fuel savings taken in, surely barely any more expensive than a used hybrid.

I (& my wife) do lots of little trips (so an EV would be great) but I also have to travel a decent amount for work so I do have a bit of range anxiety.BOWFER said:

We live in central Birmingham which recently introduced a CAZ meaning I can no longer drive in and out of the city without paying £8 per day. I am aware I could buy a newer car (even a diesel) and be able to drive through the center again. But who knows when they will tighten the restrictions further? This the GTE / A3 eTron are rated at 39g/km which is the lowest I have seen without going full electric!
I used to use my boss's Tesla every now and again to visit clients and whilst the car was a dream, having to plan the trips around superchargers was a bit of a pain (but not a massive one). I am to believe though that the non-supercharger infrastructure is no where near as refined so I imagine the pain would be greater going for an ID or something else non-Tesla.
