Oil delivery delays

If you are running low on oil....
Unsurprisingly the current energy & transport sector problems are affecting oil deliveries. I had a courtesy call from Conquest Oil this morning (I use them direct occasionally) just to warn me that they were looking at 3 week minimum delivery schedules due to shortage of drivers.
I then checked the online sites - Boilerjuice and Fueltool would not quote at all for my area (South Cambs) while Homefuels direct only offered 14 working day delivery. I suspect it's partly the delivery companies have stopped using the likes of Boilerjuice (whose deliveries used to be fulfilled by Conquest as often as not)

You mean Oil NRG who now own Conquest Oil (their depot is at 'tother end of village I live in). https://www.oilnrg.co.uk/
They spun me the same "few weeks" line when they "courtesy called" to see if I needed oil from them. I ordered 1000 litres on 18th August. Delivery was on 27th. Price was OK (as usual). But they are starting to be 'pushy' sales-wise I think. I get a lot of e-mails from them.
Of course August was well before the petrol tanker / driver crisis1 -
The Heating Oil Club emailed out with similar warning that deliveries were takng longer than usual.I ordered on 20 Sept from the Oil Club, estimated delivery by 4 Oct. Delivery was on 6th Oct (2 weeks 2 days) by Certas (ex TotalButler).Price was 44, but has since climbed higher.1
