BT tv stopping my current package.

Options
Hi BT tv have informed me my current MAX Tv package is stopping. I’m going to lose several channels by the end of this month and my BT sports in January. They are telling me to choose a new package but it doesn’t include all the channels I currently get. I’m told I am still in contact until January but surely if they change my package I should be able to cancel without penalties?

T&Cs allow them to make all sorts of changes to TV packages and not let you escape unless

these changes significantly disadvantage you, we’ll do the following.

    (i) Tell you at least 30 days beforehand, unless there are reasons we can’t (for example, if a third party who provides content withdraws it without giving us enough notice). If that happens, we’ll give you as much notice as possible.

(ii) Give you the chance to end the service, or an add-on, by giving us 30 days' notice. You won't have to pay anything extra or any charges for ending your contract early.

They're not stopping BT Sport in January. I've had one of these as well you can cancel the tv side anytime from now until 30 days after 17th Jan so you can do exactly what you want

Thanks but a bit pointless going in to the ins and outs .Though PJ did say in April he was open minded about selling .
Daz might buy it or not etc etc
BT Sport holds a number of sports contracts that others are interested in .
