With xmas coming up I can see this sliding to January 22 easily given that I'm busy for next six weeks and can't view other properties.1 -
Did they withdraw because the sale wasn't going anywhere?
How long has your vendor been looking?

One other option is to get a chain free flat in london - lots of those about.0 -
Thrugelmir, because the seller is being very very specific in what they want (a house in only one of 2 roads) I think refusing to move out into rental whilst waiting for a property to come up for sale (might not happen for years) is unreasonable. I think there is insufficient compromise by the op's vendor in this regard.A compromise to me is waiting to find alternative accommodation to rent / buy that is an appropriate size or waiting a bit longer because you know the house you want to buy is coming on the market, probate is just being sorted.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Value for money will in a large part be personal to you - if you need a third bedroom paying less for a property without one would not be a good choice. If you will hardly ever use the room/garage/garden then you won't get great value out of paying to have one.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

The vendor has shown little to no compromise (from the information presented) compared to the Op (flexibility over time). But that is just my "opinion"May you find your sister soon Helli.
