How long since you last saw your purchase property?

And how did you keep the 'feeling's alive?
We saw the house we are buying twice, 2 days in a row at the beginning of July, it's over 300 miles away so since then we've been relying on scrutinising the photos and looking at paint charts to keep enthusiasm going.
The way it's going we'll be lucky to be in by Christmas so 5 months without seeing it in the flesh.
How does everyone else cope ?

We felt the same after first viewing.
Arranged a 2nd viewing to measure up. We got home and I discovered the wife had taken 147 photos. Don't really need to go back again!2 -
End of July here, too. We’re hoping to complete this month but next month seems more likely… we took a lot of photos. That’s the only way I can remind myself of why we’re doing this 🙈Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0

I wish I'd taken pictures! Relying on the EA ones which is very frustrating!!0

I viewed the house on 31st May, and haven’t been inside since. Although I have walked past it several times, and many times looked at the photos, floor plan and video. Just sometimes needed to remind myself why I liked it so much!0

Last year we put an offer in beginning July and that was the last time I saw the inside until the sale collapsed in March this year.We kept walking past it as it was only a 10 minute walk from where we lived at the time. By mid-February we'd concluded that the deal was off so had to find another route to walk as we didn't want to look at it. Now when in that area meh, old news.May you find your sister soon Helli.

We've only seen ours once in June and we complete next week! We've done a few subtle walk and drive bys but it's in a cul de sac so we've mostly stood at the end of the road and looked down towards the house. I saved it on Right Move and I'm glad I did as it was removed a couple of weeks back but I can still see the photos in my saved properties.House sale/purchase progress (we're selling our rental property and currently living in rented so no pressure to complete both on the same day).

We saw our house last July. And that was it until the day before exchange in jan. I drove up to a few times (it's in a cul-de-sac) but as I was convinced it would all fall through I didn't want to see it too often!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0

End of July. Walked past it a few times and also saved the listing to look back at photos.Still feels very surreal at the moment - like a holiday you’ve booked but until you are there it almost feels like it won’t happen.0

I'm trying to buy a place, offered in April but someone else offered at the same time and then outbid me, so they got it, only to pull out a week later! Given first refusal then proceeded. It's taking ages for the vendors solicitors to respond to mine over queries but they seem to be blaming me for delaying!! I have viewed twice since offering, the last time about 2 months ago.Getting fed up with it and losing the enthusiasm for the place so I know what you mean! I might take a trip down to mooch around the area again at the weekend (it's about an hours drive from where I live now).0

The same, I keep looking at the ‘saved’ RightMove profile. On my second visit (a month ago) I took some pictures. It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac so I can’t drive-by, and I have avoided going there because I don’t want to jinx it. However I am completing tomorrow, and I’m sure it’s not going to look like I remembered it inside!I’ve moved house many times, and I fully expect it will be scruffy, the walls will be marked, the carpet stained etc in places that didn’t show when it had furniture in. I don’t care, I just want to get in!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0
