They say, "to report to Trading Standards, you need to contact the Citizens Advice consumer service" and then they give the link for you on that site. So easy. Hopefully!
Then buy 'properly' new from a reliable retailer.

Who do you think is more reliable than Dell ?MalMonroe said:Yeh, return it for a full refund and then report them to Trading Standards because that will help other people - you can easily do that online via Citizens Advice -

Do you seriously think that trading standards are going to do anything ?

You can try, but their lawyers are going to be better than anyone you can afford!0

They're posting their opinion and they obviously think it's helpful/correct. It can be unhelpful when they post a large paragraph on incorrect information.Tokmon said:Zinger549 said:

It's fair enough if they think they are being helpful and then join the discussion about it, but to have a signature saying they are unlikely to come back to a thread is bizarre on this type of forum.
Someone needs to tell them about sites like Quora if they just want to answer questions and never return to the subject.0 -
Quora? The OP may wish to waste his time reading reams of ill-informed nonsense spouted by American teenagers or under-employed adults with large egos and made up qualifications, or he may not. It wouldn't be fair to recommend, on the basis that there's a lot of low quality information on there, and much of it has odd political biases.Tokmon said:Zinger549 said:

Oh I see. The subtleties went so far over my head that they may as well have been a 747! Never mind, I'm aware of certain posters and don't tend to engage. The point about Quora stands, though, seems like the future of reference materials is any old rubbish produced free of cost! Sad.Tokmon said:Ditzy_Mitzy said:
