Booking on United website

Is anyone else having problems with completing a booking on the United website? Each time I get through to final payment it won’t complete the purchase. I tried phoning yesterday evening but for the same flights I was quoted a completely different ( and inflated) price.

If it is the same error fare you were trying to book through an agent, then it is not surprising it won't accept the booking. If you are travelling with children please reconsider booking a direct flight rather than through Chicago or Newark. At Chicago you arrive at terminal 5 and leave from terminal 2, it is a real hassle with children, Newark I avoid like the plague in any event but either way, you are simply making a long journey even longer0
