Blue Badge parking charges

Trouble is that it's often that the Blue Badge holder stays in the vehicle while their able bodied partner goes shopping, etc.- You should not use the badge to allow non-disabled people to take advantage of the benefits while you sit in the car.

What about if the disabled persons partner needs to buy something that benefits the disabled person urgently but is unable to find a normal parking spot?1

If there are regularly no normal parking spots available while there are empty BB spots then the number of BB spots should be reduced0 -

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.8 -
My ex husband has a blue badge. Which I use with in the rules. I don't care about free parking but he needs the space to get out of the car. Bonus if we don't have to pay for parking. But not expected. And if he is not getting out the car we don't park in the space. if I remember rightly the previous orange badge allowed someone running an errand on behalf of the holder to use the badge to park in a disable space. Which to me was totally wrong. if you are not disabled and alone then no need as you can park else where and walk. Also I have noticed that in some retail areas the disabled spot is nopt always the closest spot to the doors anyway!!!!
Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

As an "et al" I would ask the question: is paying for parking fees not an expected/appropriate way in which to use the mobility payment we receive?
And a lot of people using wheelchairs or other specialist mobility aids needing to pay those kinds of expenses do already make use of Motability, so they have to save up from the rest of their benefits - one could argue they save up from the costs they would otherwise have to pay towards a car (e.g. insurance, tax) but that doesn't mean it's spare money.4 -

Don't forget that PIP and blue badge are totally separate schemes. You can qualify for a blue badge but not be entitled to PIP.
