Is there any Internet provider who will pay my early termination fee?

Hi everyone
I moved to a rented house 2 months ago but I had to move out due to problems with neighbours.
Now I want to transfer my Virgin Media broadband to the new address but they can't provide service to my new home so they will charge me £240 as early termination fee.
Virgin Media customer service told me that some Internet providers will absorb that exit fee when you sign up with them but I can find which ones if there is any?
Does anyone know anyone?
Thanks

No chance.
If your average provider charges say £40 a month (£480 a year) do you really think they are going to spend 50% of that to buy you out of another contract?0 -
That what I was thinking but was worth asking.
The customer service guy told me that one of his friends got about £200 cover by BT when he moved with them. I didn't ask him how long ago.
Also I saw that Sky was offering £100 some years ago.
Maybe the only way to find is to call all providers.0 -
What you also need to remember is that any provider is going to know that Virgin is unavailable to you.
So they don’t exactly have any sort of incentive to try and win you away from Virgin.0 -
That's a good point.
But they should probably know that already. I imagine they know what the competency is doing in each area.
I can see some good offers with £90 of cashback, so at least that will compensate something.0 -
That is 100% true as BT used to run a promotion whereby they paid off any ETCs from your previous provider, subject to a maximum limit (think it was £500). You emailed a certain BT dept with your final bill from your old provider and then BT would credit your account with the same amount as any ETC charges. I suspect BT no longer run this scheme but I’d give them to call to check.Alex83 said:

I doubt they will fund the ETC when moving to different premises.

I spoke with BT and they told me they will absorb my Early Termination Fee to a maximum of £300.
They only offer this through the phone.
After 14 days of starting the contract you only have to send them by email your last bill with the termination fee and that's it.2 -
No chance if a house move is involved.0
