For anybody that has opened a new Rewards account with RBS, do you have to sign up for myrewards on the website, or do they add an account to the online banking automatically? Thanks

A My Rewards icon appears on the app and if you click this it will take you into your My Rewards account via your browser. You do not need to register for this. I think this automatically happens, although at the time I did speak to RBS Rewards on the phone, so they may have registered me.

There is an icon within online banking, but you need to sign in again or register if you have not created an account. If you already have a NatWest Rewards account you will not be able to register for an RBS Reward account online. I am in this position and the only way I can Access my RBS My Rewards account is via the RBS app.

That's not correct. I have both RBS and NatWest rewards accounts.
Whilst you are correct that login is now automatic through the app it wasn't always the case and a completely separate login to access the Rewards account (not the bank) used to be required.
Online login also shows more data too than the app.

I will rephrase. My experience is that I am not able to register for RBS Rewards on my laptop. I enter my Reward account debit card number and I get a message that I need to phone RBS.

I phoned RBS and they said they could not register me but to wait a few days and try again. I did, then a week, then a few weeks and no joy. I then gave up as I already had access via the app to the full RBS My Rewards site on my tablet.

Please could someone explain how to find MyRewards in the app? It doesn’t seem to be showing as an option for me for either NatWest or RBS, but my upgrade was only processed this morning, so this may be normal. Thanks

There should be a MyRewards segment below your account(s) on the home page of the app.

Click on this and then on statement (or other rewards options) and you should be taken to your browser and your MyRewards page should open.

I don’t have any MyRewards segment anywhere on my home page for some reason. Did your segment appear as soon as it was upgraded please? I’m wondering if it just needs some time

I mainly use the apps on my iPad and neither have been updated in the last 2 weeks. The MyRewards link has been on the app for several months and has always worked for me.

On my Android phone there was no available update for the NatWest app but I have just updated the RBS app and the MyRewards link is working.

@[Deleted User] is correct, it takes a few days to show up. Can't remember if you need to set up a login first time too (even though you don't need it to login via the app).

You don't need to set up a login to access MyRewards through the app.

But if you want to set up a login for some reason, here's the link: https://myrewards.natwest.com/Register?

I have a tile in my app today, but it says:

Don't miss out on your personalised Rewards

Set up your MyRewards login to view your balance, personalised offers and exchange Rewards

As soon as your available Rewards balance is the equivalent of £5 or more, you can exchange them.

And when I click on the button it redirects me to set up a log in
