    I seem to remember that custodial sentences were handed out over this one but the article says no, the details of what some of  the staff with control of giving out statutory repairs notices were up to is interesting to say the least, but this article doesn`t cover it in any depth, basically among other things some of the "repairs" were actually unnecessary and seemed to often get picked up by firms run by people with relatives in the statutory repairs department!

    The 8k wouldn`t be so bad (I know four years in you shouldn`t really expect major repairs though) if people hadn`t been forced to pay bubble prices for these flats, it just kind of adds insult to injury really?
