Are these the rates for Avro customers? And are they certain not to raise more until April 22?
It looks like it's a 12% rise for the avro rates I only signed up to last month

For whichever region the postcode you entered is located, yes, that is the most likely tariff. That one is a little below the Ofgem cap so it matches what Octopus have said so far.0

So what is the price cap rates? Standing charge/unit rates. I noticed that on the energy club site the prices are ranging massively still. From 750 to 1250. If there's a cap I expected all rates to be very close together.
With avro my predicted spend was £690. With octopus on those rates it'll be around 775.
It. Looks like I can fix for 2 years as well which won't be a bad idea on those rates, no exit fee

There is no single answer to this, as there is variation between regions, and there are different combinations of standing charge and unit rates that can meet the same price cap.0 -
Already answered this elsewhere, but just to repeat, the Ofgem cap does not specify a unit rate, only a maximum standing charge and a maximum cost for a typical user. The rates shown above come in a few pounds below the cap, with the standing charge pretty much at the cap, so it will suit people using more than 3100kWh per year, but those using less may be able to find a cheaper deal elsewhere if a supplier has decided to reduce the standing charge and increase the unit cost. The 2 year fixes from Octopus are not at those rates though, they are higher.1

Does anyone know if the switch to new rates takes place the day AVRO went bust or does Octopus have to honour those rates for 30 days or whatever?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. ... well... that didn't take long...0

I am guessing here, but I suspect that Octopus has delayed any announcement of the Ofgem agreed deemed rate for ex Avro customers until tomorrow to take into account the increase in the Ofgem Cap. As the deemed tariff is essentially fixed under SoLR regulations for 6 months, then this sits nicely into the time period between Ofgem Caps0
