ive had 2 letters from a debt recovery plus for parking tickets dating back to May 2017!
I’ve tried contacting them but haven’t been able to go and also tried contacting UK Car Park Management too as when I last spoke to them 2 years back they started there weren’t any charges outstanding on that car.
Does anyone know how many years they can leave it to chase? Seems so odd they have waited till 5.5 years to contact me and I don’t believe they are accurate but struggling to get hold of anyone. They threatened legal action as the next step so I don’t want to just leave it. Any advice is really appreciated.
Thanks

Anyone in England and Wales, not just parking companies, has up to six years to pursue a claim through the courts.
The fourth post on the NEWBIES thread tells you exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters.3 -
nothing odd about it at all, they are trawling through old invoices to get those about to time out, a typical tactic made worse by the pandemiclook up the Limitations Act 19802

May 2017 is nothing compared to all the 2015 cases on here this year.
