The cause may not be entirely due to Brexit, but the solution is most definitely being thwarted by Brexit.BobT36 said:LOL it's not just the UK suffering this, how the **** is it just due to Brexit?

After nearly half a century trapped in the red tape of the EU, it was always going to take a few years to see the full benefits of leaving. Add the pandemic to the equation and you are probably now looking at even longer.Petriix said:

Thankfully though most people saw sense and voted to get us out of the EU.
However the good news is we have now left, and as a result many lives have been saved thanks to us getting the vaccine much quicker than had we still been imprisoned in the EU.For Democracy to work, the losers have to accept defeat.1 -
We could have done the same indie the EU. Many lives were lost because this government was incapable and there for brexit.Brexit_Fan said:

Ah, the pandemic. The best piece of misfortune Leavers could have wished for. The carpet under which all their troubles can be swept.Brexit_Fan said:

I have no problem accepting the result of the referendum, I only settled on Remain as the vote neared, as long as Leave government cheerleaders own the problems they've created whilst they keep telling us that all the upsides will come at some indeterminate point over the horizon. I have a feeling they'll still be "a few years away" in 2030 and beyond.
"For Democracy to work, the losers have to accept defeat." That's all very well, but when the majority seem to be losing, a working democracy isn't much of a bonus, is it. The trouble with Brexit is not so much leaving the EU, it's the ludicrous clown show that Leavers have egged on and put into power, who have proved beyond doubt that they can't implement Brexit competently. Leavers and Remainers own the referendum result, but it's Leavers who are to blame for the mess of the last five years. And counting. Wriggling around behind the pandemic is an obvious tactic.2 -
Why has this thread gone political. What has brexit got to do with idiot people going out and panic buying. Just look at my tagline.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers6

Yes, you're right, people acting impulsively and against their own best interests in response to scare stories in the media is nothing to do with Brexit.matelodave said:Why has this thread gone political. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. We were still in the EU when we started the vaccine rollout so it had nothing to do with EU membership or not.Brexit_Fan said:

Not quite sure how you think leaving the EU has reduced red tape, just look at the paperwork that is now required to export. No longer streamlined zero checks across borders. We never had customs posts to check lorries, we've now got them popping up all over the place. How is that more efficient?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.4 -
More like a shortage of people thinking for themselves.
I've and no issues with buying what I need or getting diesel or even getting an OK energy 16p/5p year fixed deal

It's estimated between 20,000 and 30,000 UK lives were saved by our early vaccination.

The UK vaccination programme success has absolutely nothing to do with Brexit, or this thread.Brexit_Fan said:
