Flight now dropping passengers off at different airport before our own destination

Options
Hi,

Jet2 have informed me that our 3 hour flight to Ibiza from Glasgow will now be 4.5 hours as we are now dropping passengers off in Majorca first (the Majorca flight has now been cancelled).

Jet2 say no compensation is due as our flight number has not been changed nor has the delay exceeded 12 hours. They make no mention of the fact the flight will now land twice and take off twice, which was not the original flight sold to me.

we are flying with a 6 month old so the extra 1.5 hours on the plane will be a bit of a pain but the main thing is that we are now going up and down twice.

can anyone tell me if I’m due compensation because of this?

thank you!

no compensation for arriving at your destination 1.5 hours late, compensation would kick in after a delay of over 3 hours (and would depend on how far in advance you were notified and the reason) Travelling in current times will see many reschedules and cancellations for some time in the future I would imagine

    Thank you for the reply.

Their reason was that they now didn’t want to send out separate flights for Majorca and Ibiza. The Majorca passengers haven’t been inconvenienced by this as their flight times haven’t changed however Ibiza passengers have. Still no compensation due for this inconvenience?

They are still getting you to your destination - which is what you've paid them for....

No you’re not entitled to anything for this ,I or inconvenience.
there are threshold where you would be entitled to compensation but this doesn’t meet those thresholds.
Is there an issue with going up and down twice? Or is the issue “just” the extra 1.5 hours?
either way it doesn’t qualify for anything unfortunately.
the baby may cry due to the pressure changes in their ears but the crying will sort this out.
one of those things you have to dea with if you decide to take a baby on a plane I’m afraid (I often wonder why people do).

Jet2 are doing a lot of double drop flights at the moment.  I guess a relatively small inconvenience given all that has been happening in the travel and aviation world.

As others have said, no compo. I believe I read on another similar thread that passengers were however given a complimentary drink on board.

Keep smiling. You are going on holiday!
