Amazon should cover it as Amazon deals with royal mail
Thank you. I was told by Amazon by email to contact them again today if the refund was not received which I've done first thing this morning. Checked the Royal Mail tracking and it's still not moved since 29/09/21!

It is irrelevant to you if the return arrives or not, the fact is that you have returned it using the carrier label supplied by Amazon.  It is down to Amazon if it is lost.

Go back to Amazon and remind them that you have are due a refund no later than 14 days after showing proof of return - assuming you gave them proof of return.  The tracking status isn't necessarily proof of return (although it is better than nothing).  If you have the certificate of posting upload that.

Thank you. I requested a call yesterday afternoon and was told that the appropriate department would contact me within 24 hours. An email was received early yesterday evening asking me to complete a Incident Report which I duly completed and returned. Later on (21:40) I received an email stating that a refund had been requested. When I checked this morning there was another email (00:34) confirming the refund on my order. So to be honest it was all very quick once the 14 day had passed but still worrying as I've never had that happen before.

Just waiting for the money to show on my account now and then I'll be 100% happy!
