It seems very strange.ellieh01 said:I absolutely heard correctly. I asked should I worry. She said no, not at all. So surely she shouldn’t have said this if it weren’t true.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Depends were you specific in your question?ellieh01 said:I absolutely heard correctly. I asked should I worry. She said no, not at all. So surely she shouldn’t have said this if it weren’t true.
Not to worry is a general question
more specifically, will this delay things probably,
or Will the LR take a while to update probably
is the broker a conveyancer, No
Your clutching at straws here OP on who to blame. Is yourr saved interest worth it now?
Very very unusual for a vendor to remortgage between exchange and completion, it is a cake and eat situation. Its like having tenants before selling."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I did not remortgage between exchange and completion. I remortgaged in August. I exchanged a month later, with completion set for 2 weeks later.I don’t think it’s helpful to repeatedly ask me if the savings are worth it. Like I said, it’s not like I chose between the savings and an alternative. I didn’t realise there was even anything unusual about doing what I did. Asking me if it’s worth it is just a twatty thing to do tbh.0

That's exactly what you did, no more, no less.
You remortgaged to move off the SVR. You've told us that several times.
Why? Because you wanted a cheaper rate... which would apply for just one month until the sale completed...
It's EXACTLY that which has caused this issue now.9 -
I came here for advice, not to be berated or goaded.0

Stop trying to pin the blame for this on anyone other than yourself then I guess. It was a really really poor decision by you and unfortunately you’re now reaping the consequences. I hope it works out for you.5

ellieh01 said:I came here for advice, not to be berated or goaded. You have been advised it is your own fault. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but it is not berating or goading.FWIW I expect the solicitors will sort it out between themselves on Monday morning.3

There is no advice that can be given, because you are where you are.ellieh01 said:I came here for advice, not to be berated or goaded.
There are literally only two options...
1. Wait until LR process your change of charge.
2. Hope the buyer accepts an undertaking.
You are not being berated or goaded. You are having the reality of your situation explained to you, however much you wish to deny it.
It's too late for you to avoid this mess now, but if you'd found a thread like this before changing lender at the last minute in your sale, would you have thought twice? If so, this thread is serving a purpose for others like you.5 -
The only advice I can usefully give is to back your solicitor up completely, make sure you are at his beck and call, and act upon his requests immediately. He has already told you to instruct your other solicitor either to withdraw the application or expedite it. Have you done this?ellieh01 said:I came here for advice, not to be berated or goaded. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?4 -
I would be prepared for berating when the rest of the chain get informed !!!
What a monumental mess , I think to try and sue anyone wouldn't hold much water tbh and your solicitor will be left to detangle this , I hope you have a good one and not some conveyancing factory
You have a little bit of breathing space and hopefully anything to go to LR will be expedited
Hope you can update the outcome so as to help others in future2
