card fail 35
Hi,
I started this new thread because the discussion at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3479701/card-fail-35 has been closed. Otherwise I would've just replied there.
So: it just happened to me right this morning, after I went to the post office to top up. Suddenly my peaceful morning got messed up as I had some dishes to take care of.
Went on the provider's website and it turned out that @Gman0365 is right in the above mentioned link: 'Give the chip on the card a little wipe with a clean cloth. Then when
you insert the card bend it a little so it forces the chip to make
contact with the sensor inside the meter. Fail 35 is often caused
because the chip isnt making a good contact with the inside of the
meter.'
However I had to repeat the action quite a few times because the sensor inside the meter might get dusty as well. You just use your card as a brush!
