Amazon and RM tracked 24

I ordered 2 items to go to my mums address. They apparently were sent from 2 different fulfilment centres, one arrived by Amazon the next day and the other was sent by RM Tracked 24.
The RM tracking then updated to say it would be delivered the next day and on that day was updated again to say delivery has been attempted and no one was home, mum was in all day, nothing left outside, with neighbours etc.
Went on tracking to rearrange. This was meant for yesterday, it was marked delivered, again mum was in, nothing through letter box, nothing at either door outside, even checked bin, shed and garden plus neighbours.
Amazon say wait until Friday 24th.
Am I right In thinking RM tracked 24 should also show GPS location map? As there’s nothing like that on the tracking.

I'm not sure about the tracking but I can tell you my stats. RM 24 that I send out is currently tracked around 75% of the time. I rarely get complaints about the other 25% so I assume they get delivered too.MarkN88 said:Am I right In thinking RM tracked 24 should also show GPS location map? Interestingly the ones I've had to refund recently have shown as being tracked to delivery.

I’m going round in circles with Amazon so I thought I’d speak to RM, the lad I spoke to said there was no GPS information for him to look at. He has took my details and said he would pass them to the delivery office manager.0

It's unlikely anyone will check. Amazon will refund you if you don't get it on Friday. You can try asking them to send again before they do that or just reorder.MarkN88 said:I’m going round in circles with Amazon so I thought I’d speak to RM, the lad I spoke to said there was no GPS information for him to look at. Think I’ll just ask for replacement but this time ask to deliver to a click and collect location.0

Data is closely monitored on scanning quality for Tracked. Are you comfortable with your label/packaging quality?0 -
Still had no contact from RM, although not sure if that will actually happen or what the timescales would be.Amazon refunded me to my account balance so I could reorder to a collection point, they said they could only reorder themselves to a residential address.0

As custardy says we are tracked with tracked parcels. If they are not scanned or delivered it shows up the next day and we get asked why it wasn't delivered or scanned..Some parcels come into the office after we have gone out on delivery. These are delivered later in the day.0

My apologies, you're correct, it is RM24.custardy said:

If Amazon send from a fulfilment centre and use Royal Mail they tend to use RM24 so that was my point of reference. Amazon aren't too fussy about paying extra for fully tracked, the barcode delivery scan usually works for them. They rarely use RM for higher value items from my knowledge.
Obviously, the OP mentions Tracked24 so I have probably made the wrong assumption.

To be honest I didn’t think they would use tracked either, but on the tracking says:
Service used:Royal Mail Tracked 24™
Was only a book reduced from 8.99 to 3.00.1 -
They really don't care a lot of the time, it must all work on averages. I've had something returned to me by DPD that I paid them 25p for and a £200 package sent by second class Royal Mail.MarkN88 said:To be honest I didn’t think they would use tracked either, but on the tracking says:
