The website is broken.
Tried twice to use Driving License photos, both were rejected.
They were very high quality and there was nothing wrong with them. One scanned one from a quality phone.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Regards

On the NHS website/App there is a section called "Get your NHS COVID Pass" which indicates this is suitable for international travel. Once clicked thru there are two options for "Domestic" or "Travel". From the Travel section you then have an option to either download a PDF copy of your vaccinations (including QR code) or to request an offline copy by email.
You can also call 119 or request a hard copy copy by mail.
Neither above required me to up load a photo. Curious to know what is different.0 -
I did exactly what Westin posted and I've been out of the UK with the relevant documents.
Please note the following:- NHS Covid Vaccination info downloaded from the NHS App; if you download the info it is valid for 30 days so don't print off too early and find out at the airport its expired.
- Each time you open the NHS Covid Vaccination info using the app it will generate a new QR code and give a new expiry date.
- If you request the NHS Covid Vaccination paper document by calling 119 it takes at least 7 days to arrive and unlike the downloaded document from the NHS App it doesn't have an expiry date and can therefore be used on different occasions.

Many many attempts later using different devices I discovered the problem is the NHS app needs photos in a certain format (no doubt created by someone with no idea of the real world) and that is not the format that any android or iphone creates photos in! In the end I had to use the alternative route and get some sort of access via her doctor's surgery.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.0 -
I fixed the problem of photo rejection using TK Max .0

The site told me I needed photos of my ID, not sure why. Perhaps I wasn't registered previously.
After many tries, uploading scans and photos of my DL and passport, I gave up - the NHS website rejected them all.
Even though they were very high quality with no faults.
So called my GP office, who gave me a set of numbers I am told I can use to register for the Covid passport on the NHS website, without a photo of my ID.
It is not unusual for government websites to be somewhat badly designed. No competition.
Thanks for the info.

I was already registered with my Doctors with the Patient Access app so had no problems with the NHS app but my wife was not and the registration process was painful for the NHS App, it wants your NHS number, how many people now theirs or where it find it?Next it wanted a photo uploaded of her passport, this took many attempts as the page is reflective. Next it wanted a video uploading of her saying a series of numbers. Again several attempts before one was was accepted. All this to download your covid passport vaccine records only to find when come to actual want to use it to complete the passenger locator form you find you cannot use it as it shows two QR codes and the passenger locator forms will only accept one.1
